StorBridge Global's Software Solutions

StorBridge Global's Software Solutions provide a comprehensive Embedded Linux Application framework targeted for use in Small and Medium Business Appliances. We provide a complete Linux Board Support Package (BSP), built from Open Source Software, tailored specifically to the customer's desired hardware platform. Onto the BSP, We provide a middle layer of application programming interfaces (API). By implementing the APIs, we construct the final application. Having this modular development design allows for one or all of the components to be designed and implemented by StorBridge. This flexibility allows us to work with vendors to leverage their existing investment in software, while still providing the customization and advanced features required for product success.

Mini-Case Studies

A MIPS Chip vendor needed a turnkey consumer NAS Appliance. StorBridge provided the NAS Application and the network aware middle-ware. The MIPS chip vendor provided the BSP. Early in the development stages, The SBG application was running on x86 hardware while the MIPS BSP was being developed. The modular development style reduced the time to market and kept all development moving smoothly.

A vendor wanted to demonstrate iSCSI use in an SMB Storage Appliance, StorBridge provided an x86 based Appliance. In the end the vendor chose to move to an ARM platform. StorBridge was able to port the application and continue on with the development with minimal impact to the overall schedule.
